Jenny Pox (The Paranormals, Book 1)

by JL Bryan

Jenny was born with a curse—-she infects anyone she touches with a lethal supernatural plague. She’s spent her life avoiding contact with everyone, and now she expects to graduate high school and retreat into a lonely, quiet life in her father’s ramshackle house on the edge of town.
Her life is about to change. As she finds her first love, she also discovers she is not the only person in her small town with a supernatural touch, and her new enemy is a popular girl with a more sinister power than Jenny’s.
Jenny doesn’t want to hurt anyone, but the horror within her has urges of its own...it wants to infect, to bring suffering, and to kill, and Jenny may be helpless to stop it.

Circus of the Dead

by Seth Blackburn

Twenty years ago, the dead destroyed the world of the living. The survivors scattered in the wake of the Scourge, erecting small towns in the worlds' most sparsely populated areas.
For young Gabriel, the walking dead are merely the memories that haunt the eyes of those old enough and lucky enough to have survived. He is more concerned with his hard life in America's desert, where his chores keep him busy and the husks of books stashed beneath the cellar of the library are his only freedom.
Until the circus comes to town.
"Circus of the Dead" is a novelette of approximately 10,748 words.
"Finally, a zombie story for the thinking man! This story reads as much like literary fiction as it does horror. The zombie scourge seems to exist if only to symbolize man's great desires to keep weapons of impending doom close at hand and the zealotry needed to set them free. Blackburn creates atmosphere so real you'll need to swish the dust from your teeth when you're done! A welcomed change in a genre that seems done to death."

Very Dead Dolls

by Ian Woodhead

Sharon wasn’t liked, bullied by her brother, ignored by her parents and picked on by the other kids. She didn’t care as Sharon had her own special friends, her dolls loved her and she loved them back. If only they wouldn’t stop breaking. The heads fell off, glue and stitching didn’t keep them together. Perhaps she ought to stop using heads from road kill or pieces from dead pets.

Strange Short Tales

by Charles Wells

My writing day starts anywhere between 6 and 10 AM and lasts until I've said all I need for the day. I don't outline a story on paper because I don't want to ruin the finish for me. The few plots I've laid out ahead of time have never made it to print. I get bored because I know how the story is going to end ahead of time.
I make notes as I go and "fly by the seat of my pants" from there. I have a basic mental idea of what I'm going to do but nothing is written in stone. My first book was an expansion of a short story I wrote many moons ago. "
My second book in the Whispering Pines series was a pure spin off of the first.. but while writing Revenge, I started a sub plot that kept growing until it was distracting from the main plot. I ripped it out and that became my third book, "Rebel Gold." While writing Rebel Gold, another sub plot grew too large and that became my fourth book, "Cotton Tears."
As for my forte.. I've never been comfortable writing mystery/fiction.. or horror.. or humor.. although all three genres I've used in print with good success. If readers are looking for something under "Wells Brand" then it would be plain, rated PG, fun to read books and stories and a rather wide berth for genre.
