Frozen updating screen

I recently purchased my KoboGlo. When I plugged it into the computer it said upgrading and there after synching books. After it was done syching I ejected my Kobo Glo and tried to turn it on. When I turned it on a hour glass image appeared with the words updating in a few languages. I have now tried holsing the power button in, the reset button and nothing helps. The screenbstays n this hour glass "updating". How can I fix this as I want to use my Kobo Glo as soon as possible?
