KoboBarnes & Noble in today's free ebook listing looks very interesting. It is written by a veteran of the Afghanistan War who also has some interesting looking Sci-fi titles to his name. I've only had a quick skim of the book so far but it looks very interesting - I get the impression we are in for a rather realistic view of life in the US Marines as seen by a new recruit.

Unfortunately, for some reason, all the apostrophes seem to have gone AWOL from the Kobo version of this book which is a little grating. But even so it looks worth trying.
