I think I've bricked my Glowlight - can anyone help?

I recently purchased a second-hand Glowlight on eBay, having damaged my previous one. (This is the third gen edition, the white one with no page-turn buttons)

When the new one arrived it had loads of books on it which I had no interest in so I decided to erase and re-register it. As it turns out, this was a pretty stupid idea!

After rebooting I was taken to the "Let's get connected" screen and connected to my Wi-fi. I then tapped the "Continue with setup" button, but a message came up saying "Error. Sorry we're having trouble setting up your Nook. Please shut down the device and try again."

I have since realised that this is to do with Nook discontinuing their service in the UK. I knew I wouldn't be able to get books from them, but was happy to side-load books borrowed from my local library or bought from Google Play Store. However it seems I can't even do this as I am required to register and it won't let me do this.

I've seen on a separate thread that there is a way to get round this on earlier models with page-turn buttons - does anyone know of a way with this particular model?

SOLVED!!!

After my previous post I did a bit more digging around and found this solution:

At the "Hi, welcome to your NOOK GlowLightâ„¢" screen, hold down the home button (this is the button below the screen) and swipe your finger along the top of the screen from left-to-right. A "Factory" box will appear in the upper-left. Press it.

At the factory screen, hold down the home button and tap the lower-right corner of the screen. A "Skip Oobe" box will appear. Press it.
